Best in Dish Farmers' Market Challenge Terms and Conditions 2012

• Entries open on 7th September and will be accepted until 21st September.
• To be eligible to become a finalist you must be available to attend the Final Farmers' Market Challenge at the Hastings Market on Sunday 30th September.
• The Signature Dish you create needs to have a minimum of 5 ingredients that are from Hawke's Bay, these ingredients need to be able to be purchased at the Farmers' Market from one of the stallholders, however in the first round they do not have to actually be purchased at the market eg: your vegetables on the plate need to be able to be found at the market, however to create your dish you may choose to purchase them from your local supermarket.
• To enter you must complete the application form, please Click Here.  You must also send a photo of your dish.
• If you are chosen as one of the 3 finalists, you will be contacted by phone and required to be at the market for the challenge on the 30th September.  Here you will be given time to purchase your (main) ingredients at the market, you will be allowed to bring in your pantry items and any specialised equipment with you.
• You will be given a set amount of time (to be set once we know what the dishes are to be created) a BBQ, a gas ring and basic cooking utensils and will be required to create your signature dish, to the best you can within the constraints of the cooking environment.
• Food Hawke's Bay will provide a couple of judges to judge your dish against the others and the winner will be crowned 'Best in Dish'!!
• The prize includes 5 x Signature Dish vouchers, to be used within the competition time (until 16th October), one of these dining experiences will be with our own food editor, Belinda Henley.  Vouchers include the Signature Dish and match for 2 people.  Any other purchases over the meal, are not covered.
• The judges decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered in to.
• Food Hawke's Bay takes no responsibility for any equipment, etc.. brought into the market on finals day.
• By entering you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions, and also agree to your name, photo and dish to be used for media purposes.
• Food Hawke's Bay also is able to reproduce the winning recipe (s), for media purposes.
• This competition is not open to current  Farmers' Market Stallholders or their families.
• This competition is also not open to those in the professional 'trade' eg: currently working in a commercial kitchen environment as a chef/cook.  It is purely an amatuer competition.
• Any questions can be directed back to the organisers of the event, Food Hawke's Bay.

People's Choice Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.

• To be eligible for the prize draw, a name and phone number must be provided on the voting paper and put into the voting boxes provided in the participating restaurant.
• At the end of the event, voting papers will be collected and three cards will be randomly selected for one of the thress prizes in offer.
• The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• By winning the prize the recipient agrees to the use of his/her name for Media purposes only.
• The Kitchenaid Mixer can be selected from the current available range in store at Total Food Equipment up to and including the value of $995 incl GST.  The prize cannot be substitued for other products instore, unless TFE agrees at the time.  Prize to be claimed by 31st December 2012.
• The Farmers' Market Gift Vouchers will be broken down into 12 x $100 vouchers and $100 will be issued once a month to the winner to spend at the Napier or Hastings Farmers' Market on any products from stallholders who accept the vouchers.  The vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
• The dinner for 6 people must be used prior to 31st December 2012 or in consultation with the chef and Food Hawke's Bay.
• One of the winning chefs from the 3 category winners will be available to come to the prize winners home to cook a 3 course meal for 6 people.  Menu to be decided upon in consultation with both parties.  The cost of all ingredients and the wine to match each course will be covered by Food Hawke's Bay.
• The chef reserves the right to change the location, should the facilities not be appropriate to prepare and serve the meal.
• This prize is only available to people who live in the Hawke's Bay area.
• The prize winner is to supply appropriate glassware, tableware, utensils, cooking equipment etc.. for the chef and the diners.
