ABOUT US An idyllic setting, a great location in the middle of town (Manchester Square), the hub of the shopping precinct.  The Square has the distinctive town clock, and is surrounded by late Victorian and Edwardian buildings, heritage lampposts and seating, with patterned paved footpaths and huge gardens beds lend to the town’s nostalgic country charm.
The Friday Farmer’s Market adds to vibrancy of “New Zealand’s Most Beautiful Town, ”an award the town has won 14 times.  The town really comes alive on a Friday with livestock sales coinciding with Market day.  With free parking and no traffic lights the market is easy to get around and offers a unique shopping experience
Join us every Friday from (9am to 1.30pm), rain, hail or shine, in the town centre (Manchester Square)!                                  Regards Raewyn

Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Charles & Camilla visited our authentic Farmers Market on the 15th November 2012, and showed genuine interest specifically in our honey, wines, bread and olive oil stalls.  Our market chef 'Hester Guy' gave Camilla the secret recipe for her special sauce which topped the fresh asparagus and yam dish.
The Royals were presented with documentation about three varieties of Hostas grown by Wayne and Maureen from Mauways, which are to be shipped to Highgrove Gardens at Windsor Castle in January 2013.
