These are industry awards FOR industry BY industry!!  As a valued member of the Hospitality Industry you get to vote for who you think is doing a GREAT job.  The awards are designed to give recognition to the workers, owners and establishments who are really making Hawke’s Bay a great place to eat, drink and be entertained!

Organised by a dedicated committee of industry professionals in association with Food Hawke’s Bay, the Hawke’s Bay Hospitality Awards are entering their 5th year.

It has become the mark of peer recognition in the Hawke’s Bay hospitality scene.  Each year, as word gets out further a field about the awards, the enthusiasm will increase and the recognition will be truly valued. The greatest recognition you can get is that from your fellow peers!!

When the awards kick off our dedicated committee with the help of our suppliers and sponsors will be hitting the streets spreading the word about the awards.  Nominations will be open in the industry for up to 3 weeks.

After that period the committee will meet again and review nominations.  The top four nominations in each category will then be announced to the rest of the hospitality market, media and public in the Hawke’s Bay region.

Finalist voting then starts with names of each four finalists and their place of work.  Industry will then have another 3 weeks to visit and re-nominate off this finalist list (online).  The Hospitality party of the year is organised – and on the night the best of the best is announced in the midst of all Hawke’s Bay Hospitality community.

The challenge for the Organising Committee is to promote and lift the standards and the profile of the competitors and categories involved in the HB Hospo awards. As such, we have appointed a committee of some of the most knowledgeable in the Hawke’s Bay Hospitality industry.

The winners will then be announced in front of a crowd of 350 hospitality industry staff at a glamorous awards ceremony follwed by an after party where guests will party the night away into the wee small hours.
