In December 2011, New Zealand Rugby All Black legend Jerome Kaino was awarded the prestigious 'Sportsground.co.nz Sportsman of the Year' award for the Sport Auckland region.
The event was hosted by Sport Auckland as part of the annual Auckland Sporting Excellence Awards.
